One of the best parts about being a photographer is getting to know every single person I have the opportunity to work with on such a deep level. It's incredible to be invited into such monumental times in peoples lives, and to be trusted to document them in such a meaningful way. I was so honored when Adebola reached out to me about taking her maternity photos after hearing about my work from another client.

Admittedly, I was a little nervous before this photoshoot. It was my first time working in a studio, and it was my first time taking maternity photos, which is quite different from your everyday portrait session. There was so much significance behind this session for obvious reasons as well as for not-so-obvious reasons; I wanted to tell the story of what it means to be a mother through photographs. I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture my client’s pregnancy and to be able to create stunning photos with her, which one day, she will look upon lovingly alongside her daughter and remember these sweet times.
My aim was to capture the joy and the true essence of motherhood in all that it is. I remember Adebola being so full of excitement throughout the entire photoshoot, and I think everyone can see that through the images we took. Motherhood comes with a lot of ups and downs, a lot of hurt and a lot of bliss, but all in all it is one of the greatest things this world has to offer. I loved everything about this session and hope to do many more of them in the coming days!
